Support a Habitat for Humanity Build and
Help Make a Difference
The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) and Habitat for
Humanity International are seeking sponsors and volunteers
for a Habitat build event that will be held Saturday, May 2,
just prior to the start of MBA's Legal Issues and Regulatory
Compliance Conference.
In partnership with the Windy City Habitat affiliate, MBA's
Legal Issues and Regulatory Compliance Conference
sponsors and volunteers will participate in a half-day build
on a two-story single-family house with 1,450 feet of living
space, including three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and an
unfinished basement. Volunteers will work at the site on May
2 for a half day (exact schedule to be announced) installing
vinyl flooring, sanding walls, priming and painting.
Construction will continue through June 2009 on the site,
which will be home to a married couple with three children in
the Chicago area.
Space is limited at the site and volunteers will be accepted
on a first-come, first-served basis, with project sponsors
being given first preference. Additional information and
details will be provided to all sponsors/volunteers in mid-April.
